| 1. Tyler Halas, SS/RHP/OF, St. Rita HS, 2015 – The 5-foot-10 athletic infielder showcased as one of the top eighth-graders in the state. Halas demonstrated advanced defensive actions, as he fields the ball with excellent rhythm and pace. He has quick feet and soft hands while displaying a solid, accurate arm across the infield. The right-handed hitting Halas also showcased a polished swing at the plate. The best hitter at the event, Halas has a loose, athletic hitting approach. He stays balanced with a short path to the baseball, and gets excellent extension after contact. He also displayed his athleticism by running a 4.39 home-to-first time. Halas is a talented prospect to watch for in the future. The eighth-grader will attend St. Rita HS next year.
